| ____________________________ _________________________________ Game Title: Spore ___________________ Game Genre: Strategy ___________________ "May Bring About Deep Philosophical Questions." Summary: Spore allows you to act as a sort of god in the [s]world[/s] Universe of thousands, upon millions, upon billions of creatures! It takes in several different genres, and combines them to 1 game. It has RTS, Action/Adventure, and Strategist elements, each with a slightly altered take on them. Spore is a truly epic game, and if you have been hankering for some civilization on a ridiculious scale, then go pick it up! ___________________ Release Date: 10/7/2008 ___________________ ESRB Rating: [E 10+] Everyone 10+ ___________________ Consoles: PC, MAC, DS, Wii ___________________ Developer: Maxis ___________________ Player(s): 1 ___________________ Ratings: ------------------------- Graphics: 8/10 +Clean, and colroful environments. +(Sometimes) Creative characters, that looks great. -Not as realistic as once thought to be. ------------------------- Graphics Description: The graphics in general aren't a huge selling point for Spore, although for what the game is about it is great. Textures aren't bad, and characters can sometimes be ridiculiously detailed. Really the graphics vary from person to person as far as characters go. Envrironments look pretty nice once you get to space, before that not so much. If you don't mind some what cartoony-ness in your games then you should have no problem with Spore. __________________________ ------------------------- Gameplay: 9/10 +4 Games in one! +Muchos points for variety. -Some portions of the game feel lackluster, and lack depth. ------------------------- Gameplay Description: The gameplay is pretty much the selling point of Spore (as well as the fact that you can blow up planets). The fact that you can evolve from a cell, all the way to a galactic super power just intrigues most people, myself included. __________________________ ------------------------- Sound: 7/10 +You can make your own town anthem! -Not all that great of creature sounds. -Boring/non-existant soundtrack. ------------------------- Sound Description: Spore doesn't have a really great soundtrack to be honest here. Flat out, it's pretty soundless. You do get to create your own town anthem once you reach the civilization phase though! Doesn't even take skill really, just a quick slap together, and you got something nice (unless you're musicially inept of course). ------------------------- --Overall: 8/10--____________________________ |

| It started as such an awesome concept, but they ruined it to please the children. That sounded a bit off, but yea. They basically turned a great idea into shit. |

| Can you post some pics of it? I've heard of it but never actually seen it. _________________ Sometimes it's the imperfections that make something perfect.------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

| its a nice game untill you reach space stage.. its so boring and the same.. all the other stages are quite easy. it irritates me that you can create but if you put armour on or something it looks like crap or all things stick out etc. _________________ Winner of the Sotw
